This group is for Catholic families homeschooling (or for those considering it) in the Bloomington-Normal, IL area.

We are open to all styles of homeschooling from structured curriculums to unschooling and everything in between. We are called to be the primary educators of our children, yet there isn't just one 'correct' Catholic way to teach our children. We each know our families best.

Our wish is that this group will be a place where people can share successes, explore new ideas, ask questions, find consolation on difficult days and provide hope and encouragement for continuing our learning at home.

Honest questions about our faith are appropriate and welcomed. We are loyal to the Magesterium and this isn't a forum to debate dogmas and teachings that have already been decided by the Church. We are each on our own spiritual growth journey. This group has the potential to be a place of learning about and stretching our faith. We may not always like it and it might sometimes make us feel uncomfortable, but perhaps in hindsight we will see why God put each of us together at this time. None of us is any more (or less!) Catholic than others. Let us remain open to learning from those whom God places in our path, and strive to be a Light for Christ to others.
