This list, active since April 1999, is dedicated to discussing and increasing our knowledge of the various methods and results of Hot Process Soapmaking.
If you already make HP soap, please join us and share your knowledge and experiences!
If you're a cold process soapmaker, come join the fun, there's lots to learn - especially when it comes to shortcuts for 'make today and use tomorrow' handmade soap from scratch!!
Usual netiquette rules apply - if you can't be nice here, you can't *be* here; although we can forgive the occasional grump, as everyone has their 'off' days please consider potential damage to someone's feelings and/or reputation before hitting the 'send' key.... If you have problems with listbuds or posts, please email me.
Please also be considerate about posting off topic information onlist. With over 2800 members onlist at time of writing, and approximately 20 posts to a full digest - if everyone even posted *one* off-topic per YEAR that would be approximately 140 additional digests just on off-topic posts - that's nearly three a week! There's so much else to read, let's all try and stay tuned to HP soap if we can, eh.
And on the subject of reading, there is a heap of intensely valuable information in the archives. Yes, a huge amount of reading. But worthwhile. Make some time, do some serious reading there, find information and answers to questions you may not have yet thought to ask... make some trials, do some experiments, see what you find. Enjoy!
Advertising soap and related items is ok, whatever your country and timezone; Please have a look in the Files section for our AD policy and follow the rules.
Co-Ops - please ask the list moderator first before posting. Please keep co-op posts concise, as there are many listbuds on digest.
Welcome to HotSoap - and have fun with us!
Catcha!
