St. Tammany Parish Homeschoolers was formed to provide positive support and encouragement for Louisiana homeschooling families in the Greater St. Tammany Parish area, but also including Tangipahoa, Washington, Orleans parishes, as well as the Mississippi Gulf Coast region.
We are an inclusive group dedicated to creating an environment in which parents and children from ALL walks of life will find a warm and welcoming community.
St. Tammany Parish homeschool group works toward creating opportunities in a variety of educational and social settings through the active support of our membership. Some of these include field trips, park days, presentation day, science clubs, book clubs, teen activities and play groups.
All members have an open invitation to participate, contribute, or create activities according to the indivdual needs of their family.
We acknowledge that there are many different ways to successfully educate children. The cohesive bond that holds us together is our strong desire to be consciously involved in the lives and educations of our children.
Our goal is to learn from and support each other, in a continued effort to improve resources and provide meaningful opportunities and relationships within the group, as well as the community at large.
