Does not the half-light shadow radius imply that the radius is basically double the value given, but detection of the shadow at these distances is harder ...
I suggest people have a read about occultations of Pluto at: http://www.lesia.obspm.fr/~sicardy/18_march_07/ and note in particular the predicted light curves...
