"rocaclergy" is a mailing list open ONLY to clergy (bishops, priests and deacons) in good standing in the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad. It is a private environment.

This list is not an official source of ROCOR information, and no post on it is the official opinion or position of the ROCOR, except in the case of official Episcopal letters which are so labeled. It exists with the blessing of Bishop Gabriel, and is intended only to facilitate private conversation, sharing of news, concerns questions, etc of ROCOR clergy.

All clergy who join must agree to not forward any posts or information from a post in any other form whatsoever to anyone who is not a list member.

If a list member forwards a list post to another venue (whether it be another mailing list, a private email correspondent, via fax or paper, or any other means of transmission) without the express consent of the author, they have broken the list charter. This is grounds for immediate dismissal from the rocaclergy membership.

Our clergy speak with proficiency many languages, including Russian, English, German and French, and any communication in one language is certain to not be understood by all. Clergy may post in any language, however, the majority of clergy on the list at least understand English, so it will be the dominant language used.

It is expected that all list members may post freely, but the list moderator may, at his discretion moderate any member. This means that a moderated member's posts first go to the list owner for approval.
